Snake Plant

This evergreen perennial native to tropical West Africa and Nigeria, is a great addition to any office or household as a natural air purifier. Snake plants have strong and sturdy, sword shaped leaves which are drought tolerant and retains the plants water. This plant can be easily propagated by leaf cuttings so you can multiply your family of snake plants or give them away as a gift. This particular variety will have its definitive dark green pattern towards the middle of each stalk.

PLANT CARE

• Snake plants grow best with 8 to 10 hours of indirect sunlight or a few hours of early-morning direct sunlight. Too much direct sun causes can burn the plant and damage its leaves. Snake plants tolerate some shade, but lack of light can stunt growth and dilute the plant's color.
• Water when the soil has completely dried out. During winter, the plant will need to be watered much less. If you notice its leaves are brittle and dry, water immediately. If you notice yellow leaves, it is being overwatered.
